Counseling Compact Update

Draft Chapter 9 Rule on Consistent Credentialing has been posted on our website for public comment. Public comment ends July 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

Information on how to provide public comment is found on the website at
https://counselingcompact.gov/compact-commission/rulemaking/.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • July 1, 2016: All LPCC applications received on or after July 1, 2016 require 100 hours of supervision from an LPCC.
  • July 1, 2016: All applications for Supervisor Certification received on or after July 1, 2016 must include documentation of 30 hours of continuing ed in supervision.
  • July 1, 2017: All applications for licensure will require a 60 Hr. Masters in Counseling.
