Counseling Compact Update

The following chapters of rules have been posted for public comment at https://counselingcompact.gov/compact-commission/rulemaking/:

Chapter 2 Rule on Definitions - Amended
Chapter 11 Rule on Military Identification Submission, Audit Practices, and Revocation Procedure
Chapter 12 Rule on Term of Office
Chapter 13 Rule on Medication and Binding Dispute Resolution
Chapter 14 Rule on CCC Joint Investigations
Chapter 15 Rule on Grounds for Compact Privilege Termination

Public comment ends September 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. MT.

Public Hearing: A public hearing on the Rule will be held if a hearing is requested by at least twenty-five (25) persons, a state or federal governmental subdivision or agency, or an association having at least twenty-five (25) members.

IMPORTANT DATES

July 1, 2016: All LPCC applications received on or after July 1, 2016 require 100 hours of supervision from an LPCC.
July 1, 2016: All applications for Supervisor Certification received on or after July 1, 2016 must include documentation of 30 hours of continuing ed in supervision.
July 1, 2017: All applications for licensure will require a 60 Hr. Masters in Counseling.
